Objectives:After successful participation in the module course, students have learned the method of studying. They know how to solve electrical engineering problems. Students acquire basic knowledge of electrical engineering and are able to understand, calculate and analyse linear and non-linear direct-current networks. After successful participation in the module course, students have learned the method of studying. They know how to solve electrical engineering problems. Students acquire basic knowledge of electrical engineering and are able to understand, calculate and analyse linear and non-linear direct-current networks. This knowledge prepares them for Electrical Engineering II, where they will transfer these methods to alternating-current networks by means of complex calculations. Furthermore, students can also describe harmonious alternating quantities and calculate simple alternating current circuits.
Contents:Physical equations. Simple direct-current circuits and their rules. Analysis of linear direct-current networks and the relevant calculation methods. Energy, power, electrolysis and thermoelectric effects. Calculation of non-linear direct-current networks. Description and addition of harmonious alternating signals as well as the complex analysis of simple alternating-current circuits.
Applicability:Mandatory module for the Electrical Engineering course and elective mandatory module for other courses.
