Requirements:A successful completion of the modules mathematics 1 and 2, statics and stability element method is advisable.
Objectives:Knowledge of stiffness matrices, boundary conditions and symmetry for
the modelling in structural mechanics using FEM. Understanding of the inner structure
of stiffness matrices and of the process of solving the entire system.
Knowledge of FEM-Modells for stationary temperature fields.
Contents:Models of truss and beam, analysis of beams and frameworks,
principle of virtual displacements, triangular membrane element.
FEM-analysis for stationary temperature fields.
Applicability:Compulsory module for this course of studies and an elective module for other study paths.
