Requirements:A successful completion of the module electrical engineering 1 is advisable.
Objectives:Knowledge of semiconductor physics and doping, properties and applications of diodes, special diodes, transistors and SCRs, analysis of circuits using these components.
Contents:Semiconductor physics, doping, pn junction. Properties, application and basic circuits using the following components: Diode, tuner diode, zener diode, LED, photo diode, transistor (bipolar, JFET, MOSFET), darlington, IGBT, SCR. Thermal management. ESD.
Applicability:Compulsory module for this course of studies and an elective module for other study paths.
Teaching methods:lecture, practical exercises in laboratories.
