Requirements:A successful participation at the modules of the first study section is recommended.
Objectives:The students have gained a coherent understanding of description and design of electrical and electronic systems and an in-depth knowledge about system description by impulse response, frequency response, schematic diagram and differential equations.They have gained knowledges about multimeda applications and learned how to use methods for datacompression and storage.
Contents:This module includes basics of signals and systems, linear time-invariant systems, differential equations, transfer functions, Bode diagram, Fourier analysis and Laplace transform, modulation and sampling. Further topics are stochastic signals and linear feed back, control systems.Hardware and software for computer based integration of media are included as well as methods for datacompression and storage.
Applicability:Compulsory module for this course of studies and an elective module for other study paths.
