Objectives:With successful participation, students will be familiar with the challenges of grid integration of renewables. The specific characteristics of the various power generators technologies will be understood. The students can calculate the voltage boost by a renewable feed-in and understand how this can be counteracted by a reactive power feed-in.
In addition to the specific grid characteristics of renewables, the students learn about possible system integration approaches of renewable energies and thus about requirements for grid expansion, generator flexibilization, possibilities of consumer flexibilization and storage integration.
