Learning by doing: Theoretical knowledge from the lecture will be strengthened by laboratory work in the fields of materials testing, heat treatment of metals, metallography, chemical and materials analysis and corrosion. Students know the most important methods of mechanical testing and have got an idea about practical use of the obtained materials data. They can evaluate their experimental data by statistical methods and communicate their results both in written and oral presentations.

Experiments in the fields of cold working and heat treatment of metals, mechanical testing (tensile test, hardness test, etc.), metallography and materials analysis. Generating of testing reports, statistical analysis of data and presentation of results.
