Exam requirements:Knowledge of basic components of a microprocessor system, as well as in programming their special function registers.
Objectives:After successful participation in the module, students will be familiar with the basic principles of a microprocessor and its components. They have basic knowledge about the function and application of microprocessors.
Course contents:Structure and function of a microprocessor and its components, register set, simple peripherals such as digital IO and timer, stack, rom and ram memory. Program examples for initialization, different addressing modes, subroutine and function calls, conditional branching and interrupt handling.
