Objectives:Preparation for the development of electrical components and cable harnesses within 3D systems. This gives an insight into the interaction of mechanical and electrical construction. The students should be able to estimate requirements and costs for the cable harness design
Course contents:CAD – definitions, history, classification of CAD in CAx landscape, market overview and differentiation of CAD systems, modelling procedures, data exchange formats, graphic formats, CAD 3D-technology basics, parameterization and associativity, CAD modelling strategies, construction of assemblies, CAD technical requirements for electrical components, cable harness construction basics and their documentation, housing construction basics.
