Exam requirements:Knowledge of energy storage technologies, comprehension about the integration of energy storage within renewable energy systems.
Objectives:Main Focus of the lecture is the presentation of energy storage technologies (electrical, chemical, thermal, mechanical storage). The challenges and necessities of integrating energy storage within modern energy systems are explained.
After successful course completion the students have detailed knowledge of different energy storage technologies. They are able to assess the impact of energy storage technologies within future energy systems.
Course contents:Setup and functioning of electric, chemical, thermal and mechanical energy storage. Application of renewable energies and storage systems within the energy transition.
