Exam requirements:Basic knowledge of production technology and materials science, understanding of mechanical relationships and processes (kinematics, dynamics), understanding of design drawings.
Objectives:After successful completion of the module, the students have an overview of the systematics and application of the forming technology. They have in-depth knowledge of the essential processes of manufacturing and materials science. They can independently and safely apply the acquired knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials science to solving practical problems.
The students are able to solve typical forming technology tasks, to implement problems in the area of forming technology as well as to test and, if necessary, to refine them for experimental tasks. For this they learned a systematic approach.
Course contents:Introduction to the basics of forming technology.
This includes the study areas of material behavior, the related and logarithmic shape change, the forming speed, the flow curves, the influence of friction on the forming process and the introduction to the calculation of forming processes.
In-depth overview of essential processes of forming in sheet metal forming and massive forming.
