Objectives:After successful completion of the module the students have knowledge in the numerical solution of the Maxwell equations. They know selected numerical methods for the calculation of electromagnetic fields and are able to use industrially used CAESoftware.
Course contents:Repetition of the electromagnetic field terms, torque method frequency domain), finite differences (FDTD, time domain), finite element method (FEM), decision criteria for the method selection, typical electromagnetic field problems
