Exam requirements:In-depth knowledge about linear time-invariant systems and their description by differential equations, transfer functions and Bode diagram. Knowledge about Fourier analysis and Laplace transform. Basic knowledge about stochastic signals and about linear feed back in control systems.
Objectives:The students have gained a coherent understanding of description and design of electrical and electronic systems and of control systems. They have gained an in-depth knowledge about system description by impulse response, frequency response, and differential equations.
Course contents:This module includes basics of linear time-invariant systems, signals and systems, differential equations, transfer functions, Bode diagram, Fourier analysis and Laplace transform, modulation and sampling. Further topics are stochastic signals and linear feed back, control systems.
