Objectives:After successful participation of this class, the students are able to recognize and describe technical processes in automation technology and to apply selected methods of automation technology in practice. In addition, they are familiar with the fundamentals of industrial project management, especially in the automation of robotic machines and plants.
Course contents:Fundamentals of automation technology (including machine safety according to EN13849;), automation computers (PLC, NC and robot controllers), industrial communication (fieldbus systems or industrial networks), sensors and actuators in practice, operating and control systems (eg MES, LMS , Production control systems), project management (including CCPM) and NEW: Industry 4.0 in mechanical and plant engineering.
The lecture will be rounded off with an exciting excursion giving valuable insights into robot-assisted automation technology.
