Exam requirements:Knowledge about the simulation of electrical networks and electronic circuits with PSpice.Handling of the simulation program, description of the electronic components and parameter, Processing and displaying of simulation results of the DC-, AC-, transient- and fourieranalysis with plausibility controls and error detection.
Objectives:After successful participation in the course, students have the following knowledge and skills:
-Detect of the capabilities and limits of the simulation
-Preparation of the circuits
-Parameterization of models of different circuit elements; control of their function by test simulations
-Development of simulation programs for general electrical networks, analog, small digital and industrial electronic circuits;
-Verification of the simulation results concerning their plausibility.
Course contents:-Entrance in the PSpice – simulation with ORCAD (Release 9.x)
-Description of the electronic elements of resistor across semiconductor, sources up to various complex devices, e.g. operational amplifier
-Description of programsyntax
-Development of testprograms for controlling their behavior
-Displaying the results and their takeover in text processing
-Simulation of DC-, AC-, even in complex description an in frequency dependence including nyquist plots and fouriertransformation
-Simulation of easy industrial electronic circuits
-Displaying of faulty simulations
