Exam requirements:In-depth knowledge about MOS transistors, transistor circuits for logic gates, design of mask layout for wafer fabrication, technologies and about chip area, power consumption, delay times and further characteristic parameters. Knowledge about software tools for design and verification of integrated circuits.
Objectives:Application of the theoretical knowledge from the corresponding course to a practical exercise including layout design and verification of basic transistor circuits.
Course contents:MOS transistors, transistor circuits for logic gates, design of mask layout for wafer fabrication, technologies. Chip area, power consumption, delay times and further characteristic parameters. Software tools for design and verification of integrated circuits.
