Exam requirements:Knowledge of the maintenance of small airplanes according to maintenance and repair procedures, as well as aviation legislation and organizational basics for aircraft maintenance, discussed in the theoretical and practical part of the course.
Objectives:The student shall be introduced in small airplane maintenance, which differs partially from procedures on large airplanes.
The practical part of the course offers hands-on work at the airplane. (Please wear working-dress!)
Course contents:1 General basics: Examples of airplanes, maintenance, repair, alteration, airworthiness check
2 engine: Engine manufacturers, maintenance and repair of engines
3 airframe: Construction methods (wood, mixed materials, metal, composite), maintenance and repair procedure of the airframe
4 practical part: Execution of a complete maintenance check on a Cessna airplane.
