Exam requirements:Deepened knowledge of hydraulic drives and associated components. Deepened knowledge of hydrostatic drives, hydraulic controls as well as project engineering of hydraulic drives. Knowledge of associated electrical systems.
Objectives:Deepened knowledge of function, structure and cooperating of hydraulic drives. Deepened knowledge of hydrostatic drives, hydraulic controls as well as project engineering. Special method knowledge of design, dimensioning and computing of individual components. Knowledge of associated electrical systems.
The form of the lab course with intensive and autonomous group work requires that the students deal with different communication and working styles in their groups. Accordingly, the students are able to independently apply the basics of classical project management, such as team organization, task planning and division of labor. In this way, they have trained social skills such as teamwork, criticism and communication skills. Furthermore, they have the competence to find solutions to problems and to select the right methods, to conduct research and independent acquisition of knowledge as well as to present and comprehensively document work results.
Course contents:Introduction: Introduction to hydraulic components, function of components of hydraulic drives (pumps, motors, valves, hydraulic fluids), function of hydraulic controls (throttle controls, load-sensing controls) and applications

Controls: hydraulic and electrical systems, power control, pressure control, load-sensing control, operational behavior

Simulation: calculation and simulation of the dynamic behavior of hydraulic systems with numerical methods (eg with Matlab / Simulink), verifying the theory in the lab

Practice: implementation of a project task in collaboration with industrial enterprises, transfer of knowledge from lecture and lab on real tasks
