Objectives:After completing the module, participants will be able to design DB models, translate and implement entity relationship models into relational DB designs, reliable handle the basic SQL language, and perform basic DB administration tasks. Participants have basic experience in dealing with a server-based RDBMS and associated DB design and administration tools.
Course contents:The course teaches basic competencies in the field of database engineering. It covers the basics of the relational data model and the transformation of the conceptual model into the relational model. The database language SQL is practiced for more complex database queries, data definitions, and data changes in a server-based relational database system (RDBMS).
