Exam requirements: | In-depth knowledge about Fourier series and ordinary differential equations: i.a. directional field, linear differential equations of n-th order, numerical solution of differential equations of n-th order (Runge-Kutta). In-depth knowledge about Laplace transformation: i.a. dampening-, time-shift- and convolution theorem, solution of differential equations of n-th order. |

Objectives: | The courses Mathematics I – III shall provide the students with basic mathematical knowledge as well as with the way of mathematical thinking and the application of mathematical procedures, which are the basis of the following engineering courses. The students shall be acquainted with the techniques for solving mathematical problems and shall learn how to apply mathematical procedures to engineering tasks. |
